Guitars
There are countless different guitars available, hundreds of factors to consider, and you just might be feeling overwhelmed. However, do not fret! Below are the top five low priced beginner acoustic guitars. These are a great value for the price. You do not want to spend too much on your first beginner acoustic guitar as you may purchase it and find out that you do not like it, so look to these choices as better options for your first beginner acoustic guitar instead of a more pricey model.
Number One: Seagull S6
The seagull S6 is a great option for your first beginner acoustic guitar for many reasons. It is Canadian made, highly regarded, has beautiful, clean, crisp sound, and is an excellent value. This particular model has a solid cedar top with beautiful, and a practical mahogany back and sides. This guitar is probably more expensive for a beginner acoustic guitar, but it may be worth the price if you are truly serious about your guitar studies and do not plan on switching to a beginner electric guitar any time soon!
Number Two: Yamaha FG700S
While this guitar certainly is not in the same league as the Seagull S6, it is still a great beginner acoustic guitar. It is significantly cheaper than the Seagull S6 and is a terrific value. The Yamaha guitar has a solid sitka spruce top and a nato back and sides.
Number Three: Takamine G-340
This is a true beginner acoustic guitar. This beginner guitar has a laminated spruce top. Because it is laminate and not real spruce, do not expect to get the same sound quality as with the Seagull S6 or the Yamaha FG700S. However, the general consensus among the guitar world is that this beginner guitar is still a relatively good quality guitar for a beginner.
Number Four: Fender CD-140S
This beginner acoustic guitar is even lower in price than the others. It has a solid spruce top, but it does have laminated mahogany back and sides. The Fender brand has been known to have poor workmanship on many of its products, so be careful if you choose to purchase this guitar. However, the fact that it has a solid spruce top and not laminate is promising.
Number Five: Epiphone DR-100
Our number five beginner acoustic guitar is this Epiphone. It has a spruce top and mahogany back and sides. You can usually find this guitar for a pretty cheap price, which is one reason that it is classified as a beginner acoustic guitar. However, the general consensus on this guitar is that it is only quality enough to be a beginner guitar and when you advance, you will have to upgrade to a better model.
