World of Warcraft Maps: Making Gaming Easier

World of Warcraft is a three-dimensional, virtual world within itself. Thus, just as you need maps to figure out where you are going in real life, so too would you need World of Warcraft maps. Specifically, within the world of Azeroth, there are two main factions: The Alliance and the Horde. Both factions control various areas of Azeroth, so depending on what server you are on, you need to be aware of that fact so your character does not randomly get killed.

The World of Warcraft maps are located within one main icon on your gaming screen – specifically in the upper right-hand corner. Your character is represented as a little dot moving around within the smaller perimeters of the map icon. When you click on the World of Warcraft map to expand it, your little dot then becomes an X.

If you happen to be in a party with another character or characters, they are also viewed on the map in the same ways. This is a very important aspect of playing World of Warcraft, because in order for a party to successfully do a quest or raid together, they need to know the location of each party member at all times.

Speaking of quests, World of Warcraft maps are an absolute necessity for them. For example, say that you are a new player and have gotten a quest that indicates you are far away from the area in which you need to complete the quest. You are not familiar with the vast landscape, so how do you get there?

While the quest giver will most likely give you directions, those directions can even baffle an experienced player. So, what you need to do is check the map, and zoom out so that various areas can be observed as a whole. Areas that contain information on where to get or turn in a quest will be indicated, as well as the location of resources that will help your chosen professions. Thanks to these maps, you can easily find the direction in which you need to go.
